Is Samsung's Tizen TV operating system a TITAN?

Samsung has introduced Tizen operating system to its Flagship Smart TV's for 2015. Tizen had been previously released on the Gear "gen one" smart watch and following models of Gear series smart watches. 

Tizen: Personal Perspective Introduction.

I had experience using Android Jellybean on my Gear smartwatch.The android operating system had its issues. It was later updated to Tizen, the Gear smartwatch and I had parted ways before I was able to experience it on the Gear "gen one". I liked the idea of a smart watch. I gave it another try when the Gear 2 was released running Samsung's updated wearable operating system Tizen. I was impressed. 

Tizen: The battery saver. The Gear 2 has a 300 mah battery. That is half the capacity of a traditional Triple A battery. Tizen operating system allows the wearable device and smartphone to communicate with each other for over 108 hours without interruption. Your phone runs out of power before the wearable. The Gear 2 allows you to select what notifications you deem important and lets them travel to your wrist to supply you with rich colorful graphics of your ordered notification and the ability to respond or to view on your phone or tablet.

Tizen: Stability and Uptime. Rock solid in the eleven and half months I have owned my Gear 2 is has not let me down. It has never had a crash or any type of glitch. This impressed me most. I use my electronics very hard and the operating system maintained its integrity.

I've introduced you to Tizen on wearable devices.So lets talk about TV's and Tizen. Its why your here isn't it?

This is where my mind starts to wander and teeter on an uncertain edge of success.

Many TV manufacturers have selected Android TV to power their TV's smart capabilities. In short what your Android phone or tablet can do your TV can now do.

Samsung isn't one of those companies. Samsung has selected its own Samsung built operating system Tizen that has been running on wearable devices for over a year now. 

Benefits of Tizen.

Benefits of Tizen- Fast lightweight operating system. No Viruses. Supports latest processors and 64-bit software architecture. 
Samsung Controlled Streamlined software updates for better stability. Hardware and software designed for each other.
Direct Virtual reality integration using Samsung Gear VR. 
Ability to wirelessly project android applications directly to the TV from Android Smartphone or Tablet. You can use your Android apps without having to sacrifice internal storage on your smart TV or have to buy external storage. Improves TV stability if your Android app crashes the TV remains stable and usable. 
Minimal Third party advertising.
Future support of phone calls.
Increased Privacy keeping Android data separated from your TV.
Potential for new app developers to cash in on a new and upcoming platform in a guaranteed market that sits in every living room across the globe.
Hurdle's Tizen must overcome.

Tizen has a small app pool, most major apps aren't supported and may never be supported. No direct Android google play store access. These are a few of Tizen's obstacles. 

Disadvantages of Android on TV.
Software controlled by Google. Requirements may change without notice.
TV instability, Freezes, boot loop TV won't turn on. Unstable applications and uncontrollable advertising. You may be left with no customer support options.
Privacy concerns, data storage, data sharing and information theft.
Private information being easily accessible from the TV. Google drive, Gmail etc. 
Google and It's Android operating system want into every part of your digital life. I think they're asking for too much in a short time. I see pitfalls ahead. The biggest concern privacy.

It is going to be an interesting journey over the next year to see how all manufacturers perform.

Sakura Japanese Buffet

Sakura Buffet has stepped their game up. Their sushi quality is excellent. They're definitely trying to compete with Crystal buffet across the street. T hey've changed the price of the Lunch and dinner specials. The price went down. $10.00 for Lunch! Per person. This is cheaper than Publix Sushi. This is a great place to eat and they're putting up competition that would be hard to beat. Very impressed that they improved the restaurant. I had stopped going because the quality of the Sushi was no longer to my liking. Highly Recommended as of today's date.
